Smallville 7.15 Veritas
Dear LJ readers,
I am really sorry for not posting soon. The sun is hitting hard on my lazy brain and all I think about is wandering in
My review of Veritas (aired on March 27th) would be rather short.
What I like most about the episode is the return of our A.I bad ass Brainiac.
Veritas is also a kind of “flashback” episode because we get the chance to see little Lex, little Oliver, little Patricia and little Jason playing seek and hide all together. The cutest thing I have ever seen!
We are explained the birth of the secret organization Veritas. This organization gathers Lionel Luthor, Robert Queen (Oliver's father) and Edward Teague (Jason's father). Lionel charged Robert & Edward of conspiracy. He noticed that the two had an envelope & agreed not to open it until they prove the existence of the Traveler. Hearing a sound, they all leave the room. Just after a moment, Edward Teague holds a key that is in fact Patricia's in the present. Lex, who reminds him of this time, asks his assistant to go to
Meanwhile, at the barn, Kara confronts Brainiac who first appeared as a hawk. He offers Kara to build another Krypton but Blondie refuses.
At the Daily Planet, Lois & Jimmy decided to work together on Patricia Swann's death. They dressed themselves as Luthorcorp's workers and sneak into Lionel's office so they questions about Swann's death. But Lionel refuses to talk to them. He asks the security to kick them out Luthorcorp. Few minutes later, he removes his locket which contains a key.
I don't know if you heard that but Kristin Kreuk had a role in a new direct to DVD flick inspired from a video game, “Street Fighter”. So, she wasn't able to shoot the whole season.
And here is my point. The reason for her disappearance is Brainiac. While Lana was working in
Meanwhile, Lois & Jimmy discover that Lionel told them the truth : he did not plan Patricia Swann's death. Lex did. They find an envelope on Patricia's driver and a photo proving the driver was hired by Lex.
Lex is facing trouble discovering the truth about Veritas because the bank asks two keys in order to have access to the high security safe. He then remembers his father recovered a keys from the
We then see Kara on the roof of the Planet. She is ready to go with Brainiac but
In the finale scene, Lionel goes to see Chloe to say he changed and that he is not the man he used to be mainly because Jor-El chose him as a vessel. His aim is not to hurt
Conclusion: A+
Great episode! First because we won't see Lana for a long time! Just kidding! Then, it is always good to see Brainiac. I love the way he shows

What a wonderful weather in Paris ! I can, at last, wear mini skirts and light dresses without tights ! And this is the meaning of hapiness for me!
To all the people who wondered day and night what the hell I look like : here I am! Laughs ! I look so silly on this damn picture. But hey, who is gonna praised me if I don't do it myself?
Hum… I have some reviews to write, I am pretty late and I'm sorry! I have some 6 days off and i'll be able to update. But I have to admit I am pretty bored with Smallville. Especially when I realized Our Boy leaves the show (for more information go on Hamlat's Blog).
Well, i am writing to you when I am supposed to be working!
Take care

Smallville 7.14 Traveler
My dear LJ readers
I apologise for not posting sooner but I have some issues with my internet . And of course, no internet, no Smallville. No Smallville, no review.
I was able to catch some hints and watch the four episodes I've missed : Traveler, Veritas, Sleeper and Descent.
Hum…Two things. I used to say that season 3 was the best season of Smallville ever, especially for Lex. But I was wrong, I really really think that Season 7 is Lex's. At lest, It is the birth of the real Lex Luthor: ruthless, manipulative, totally overshadowed by darkness. Sigh…Our boy (Michael) just took my breath away.
The other thing is that Lionel has finally passed away. And that's the real tragedy. I don't know why he had to die. Why didn't he escape from Smallville and changed his name as it was written in older versions of Superman. I know Lex killing his father is one step further to become the “comical” Lex but…I think John Glover's character should have had a more “descent” ending.
Traveler is the 14th episode of Smallville. The title is an echo to Clark and his travel from Krypton to Earth. We finally discover a little bit about Veritas.
Clark is attacked and locked in a green kryptonite cell and Lionel -who was supposed to be Clark allie until episode 13th – is said to be the head of this trap.
Meanwhile, a new character is introduced : Patricia Swann, the daughter of Professor Swann. I don't know where the hell this comes from, but, to me, it makes no sense. If Professor Swann had ever had a daughter, shouldn't we have heard of her before? Yeah, we're in Smallville!
Veritas is a kind of big organisation where The Teagues, The Queens and The Luthors somehow talked about The Traveler who is nothing less than Clark. But most of this organisation is now six feet under and Patricia charges Lionel of murdering them all. She has some evidence and threatens Lionel with showing them if he doesn't free Clark.
John glover's performance was excellent as usual. But our new comer, Gina Holden reminded me of Laura VanderVoort at her beginning. She has a true tendency of play her character over. She is really beautiful but I wish her beauty didn't shadow her smartness over. But, hey, all girls cannot be like Chloe, right?
Speaking of, Traveler was the occasion to see some girl power. Chloe and Lana team up to save Clark. And that's really cool. It's good to see Lana and Chloe together again and for once I didn't have the feeling they were fighting over Clark like two children over the same toy. That was great. And Kristin did a great job. She is not stuck in that “Stepford Wife” role. She is at last able to support herself. She even threatens Lionel with killing Lex! But that was not necessary. And no need to say that Allison's wardrobe and make up were great as well as her job. And her character still has this great sense of humour. I wish Lana was that funny. She is a way too cold. Anyway, good to see active Lana!
Meanwhile, Kara still hasn't recovered from her memory loss. She is somehow reluctant to undergo Lex's process but eventually agrees. Lex however asks the doctor to lock the room where the process has place if she ever feels Kara doubting.
Lex and Patricia finally meet at the mansion. Patricia gives Lex a painting he did when he was a kid. It as a “V” on it which suggests the organisation “Veritas”. Lex later confronts his father saying he killed all the members of “Veritas”. Being trapped by both his son and Patricia, he calls the latest to make a deal.
As Lex is preparing the process for Kara to recover her memory, Lana and Chloe draw a plan to free her. They manage to cut off the electricity so the process fails and take Kara away.
Chloe takes the decision to bring Kara to the Fortress so Jor-El give her powers back. The question is : when did Chloe learn how to go the fortress? I remember she was accidentally brought in at the end of season 4 but I didn't know when still had memories of that! But hey, we're in Smallville! Chloe even talks to Clark's father saying she loved her son and that Kara needs to have her powers back so she can save him. According to me the better scene of the episode! This is the evidence that when you want to save someone you love, you don't necessarily need super powers. The power of love is the only that counts!
The special effects were tremendous, I loved seeing this sheer light surrounding Kara. And, she is so much more Super girl with her strength! Congratulations Miss Vandervoort!
Meanwhile, Pierce harms Clark more and more…And Patricia would give the evidence to Lionel unless she sees Clark face to face. But she is hit on the head and faints. Lionel takes the evidence. Lionel orders Pierce to free Clark but he refused considering Clark is a meteor freak. He knocks Lionel and pushed the level of the kryptonite radiation to 100%.
Kara arrives on time and destroys it thanks to her heat vision. Pierce tempts to shoot both Lionel and Kara but he is stopped and eventually dies.
In the final scenes of the episodes, Clark meets Patricia. She gives him the diary her father's used to keep. There are some notes in kryptonian in it saying the traveler would eventually change the world (in other word, put that fu**ing red cape and blue tights!) and warns him against Lionel.
This episode is also then end of the Clark/ Lionel “partnership” due to the torture that Clark went under. Though Lionel says that cage was for other kryptonians, Clark doesn't believe him.
In the last scene, Kara is finally given her bracelet back. She has a great talk with Clark. He (at last) admitted that The Luthors are “lost causes” and that Kara should pay more attention.
Meanwhile, Patricia is shot dead by her driver over a bridge. And I guess Lex may be the head of this murder he watches her bloody locket and his painting.
Conclusion: Traveler was a good episode. A lot of action and violence, but also a great message : even an hero, as strong as he can be, has weaknesses. And some great ladies to save him! Who said ladies didn't kick ass!

I hope you ALL have a nice weekend. Holidays are soon over for me and i'll have to go back to work (I am an english teacher in Paris).
I wanted to focus on one picture of Rpsey I once found on his offical site (which is now closed). Just look at it.
A girl notices rosey had an hicky on his neck. As as far I am concerned, I think it is a trace of pink lipstick. Do you see the woman on the back of the picture ? I guess this woman kissed Rosey on the neck. And do you recognize this woman ?
It is Michael's mum !!!!! Ain't that sweet ?

Smallville 7*12 « Fracture »
First of all LJ buddies, I have great news. It seems there would be two more episodes of Smallville ! So, « Veritas » won't be the episode finale ! Yet, it seems that one of the permanent cast member won't appear and I guess it is Michael for he has some plans. For more informations, go on Hamlat LJ.
And then, here is one more review of Smallville. The episode is named Fracture. Well, in french, it is the word to describe when one of your bone is broken. In English, gee, I don't know…Maybe it is the line that separate right from wrong…
Because, yes, « Fracture » is a Lex-centric. Lex is shot, again *sighs*
Well, where most of human being would die at once, Lex is immediatly driven to the Smallville Medical Center. Ha ha ha ha, and when did this small building turned into Cook County ? Isn't Smallville supposed to be a little town in the country ? Why wasn't Lex driven to Metropolis ? We're in Smallville, guys ! So enough with those meaningless details.
Why did Lex was shot gain ? Well, execpt from the fact that he is incredibly hot and so much more intelligent that most of the unhabitants of Smallville and Metropolis reunited, our favorite master-mind bypassed everybody by finding Kara Kent in Detroit. Well, not everybody because Lois was following him. And they team up to find her.
The girl is amnesiac and don't even remember she is from Krypton. And a silly psycho stalker, named Finley, fell in love with her ( I recently learnt that the guy is Laura Vandervoort real boyfriend !) and won't let « baldie » go away with her.
And just after a short session of « who uses his gun better (Lex does it better, Lex does it better!!!!!!!!) », Lex falls with a bullet between his eyes.
Gosh, I hate to say this but i expected so much more of that episode that this Lex is not good not yet bad. I thought he'd crossed the line long ago. But he didn't. In fact, Alexander is still alive and have a chubby kid like appearence. It bothered me a little because I think the episode from season 4, « Onyx » was so much better…
But let me start from the beginning…
Lana discovers that Luthorcorp have built a system to question terrorists by getting into their head. Litteraly. And this process would be tested on Lex. But the little problem is that most of the people who went under this process died. But
We're in Smallville !!!!!!!
And nobody is gonna die, fellows. Clark decide to go under this process and goes into his lover his former friend's mind. The only way he could escape is a red door.
And that is when the real spectacle begins.
I first thought the scenarist would have chosesn to represent Lex's mind by using a kind of Labyrint for Lex is a complex character. But they chose to represent it by long dark corridor and doors. Some places are enlighted and some are dark.
I just love the scene where Tom is looking throught hole and when he sees what happened to be Kara in fact, in the first episode.
And I just loved the witty « Linda…Doesn't suit you » Lex. He is so damn hot in this scene.
*Looking around for a drooling tub*
I almost had a heart attack when Lex appears with his white suit ! Litteraly ! He is not particulary hot in white but he was sudden and my heart just went out of my chest. Hum…I think Michael overplayed a little the « get out of my head » .
And the little Alexander is kinda cute. I first thought tht Lex's inner conflict would have been better with two adults but I'm not that sure now.
The scene when Lionel bullies lil' Alexander to know who opened his briefcase made total sense to me to understand why Lex is what is is now. And the pain he feels when he denounces his mom, and when he sees his parents fight, and how harsh his mom is to him…But, Freud said it before I did, didn't he ? All adult inner conflicts usually start in childhood.
Back to Big Lex, now. The guy is kinda flirting with Kara, don't you think so ? And much to Clark's displeasure !
And finally, Lois « Word Girl » Lane arrives ! « I never would have guess a secret rendez-vous with Clark's cousin ». I love this girl ! And I forget one point, Lex is damn hot in that blue shirt ! Hi hi !
Back to Bad Lex ! « Forgive me I've been a terrible host, let me give you the grand tour ». And what a grand tour, our farmboy has the chance to see a real « porn », starring Lex and Lana. Ter-ri-fic ! For us of course, not for Clark ! Yet, I didn't know Lana liked the cow-girl position. I though our famous SV princess would like missionnary better. In fact, Lex Luthor is higly disappointing here. In my deepest fantasy, our boy liked the positon in which you cannot see the face of the one you f***.
« I knew a voyeur was looking behind a telescope » is a an allusion to Season 1, I guess because Clark couldn't jerk his **** without ogling at Lana with his telescope. Laughs.
There are some times when I'd love to be Chloe sullivan. Especially when she proves to clark Lana acts like a dumbass and when she touches so softly Lex's bare chest… Yum, yum
And, here we are again…There's something in Smallville I truly cannot understand…Clark and Chloé had so many occasions to get rid of Lex and when they (or Lionel) eventually manged to do it, they save him…But Chloé was right to shut Clark's mouthpiece…She saved his boyfriend…Awwww, and the Clex scene just after was the cutest of Smallville's episode. I was just thinking of one thing : clark got inside of Lex ! Isn't that a pure gay thing ?
The last scne between Kara and Lex was a good one. I liked the parrallel between Kara and Lex and the feeling that Clark is hiding something from them. And theline « As his former best lover [sorry], best friend, I know the feeling too well. »
And, yes, Lex is smirking. You know, he smiles but his mouth goes on one side…And this means he has evil plans behind his mind. Love this smirk, I missed it really.
Well, It's a good episode, not one of the best because everything is so « déja-vu ».
I would not give Natalie Cosco two high thumbs for Michael's make up because it is obvious that M. Luthor is full of testosterone (we can see is facial hair marks). But her work on the ladies goes better and better. Chloé looked lovely with that pink lipstick, and Kara looked good too.
A call for all our greastest Fan Fic writers :
There is quite a lot to write on with Personna because this episode is the gayest of Season 7 !

I read on KS that SV would eventually be renewed for a new season…
I've changed my mind…I now think Lex Luthor is a kind of "carcan" from which Rosey had to escape. And Lord knows I was right. Michael Rosenbaum is a real genius. And I am objective. I would have the same speech if I was "rosey virgin". The kid is fucking good.
This is crazy talk because even people who loathes SV (that is to say my boyfriend) eventually recognizes Rosey's talent.
Shear Love makes no exception. I won't say too much, I don't wanna spoil your pleasure. But this short movie is the crackiest thing I've ever seen (if i put my nephew dancing tecktonic apart).

Smallville 7.10 « Persona »
5/5 (A+)
I don't know for you, LJ buddies, but this hiatus seemed ev-er-las-ting !
My patience was highly rewarded though. Persona was a terrific episode. No disappointment, you have my words.
This season of Smallville reminds me of the third : darker, more mature, and complex…Smallville is no more teenage drama.
At the present time, as I wrote this review, the strike is still going on. It's too bad SV ends on episode 15.
Mr Gough & M, Millar, please end this strike RIGHT NOW !!!!!
Back to our buisness, now, Bizarro, still making himself out being Clark, takes fully advantage of newly life. And I weigh my words : he sleeps with Lana.
One could think « M, Crackled face » is fully disgusting. But, yet, Lana has never been so happy. Because the guy not only shares his physical and strenght with Clark, he also shares his memories and his love for Lana.
Yet, Bizarro has some difficulties to hide his true nature as when he joins Chloe at the Daily Planet. One ce again, it seems the lady knwos Clark better than anyone (that is to say better than her long lasting love interest Lana). God Bless Chloe. Even if she wasn't that much present on screen, she is definitly a great character. And gee…her makeup and wardrobe are stunning !
Well, even if Lana gained confidence and computer skills (don't even think one second to become Clark's side kick, lady, This post is Chloe's !), her naivety is sickenning ! How can she be so superficial, all that counts for her is her hapinness : «Clark has never been so understanding », bla, bla, bla…Gee…this woman is beyond redemption.
Yet, Kristin gave a wonderful performance, especially in the scene where she faces Bizarro and Clark. What a tearing dilemna between the man she loves and the guy who gave her all that she ever wanted. And the truth is Bizarro just knows what is in Clark's mind. But saying, Clark isn't in love with Lana…
But she chooses Clark and wonders, as they both lie, in bed at the end of the episode, if she made the right choice.
Tom Welling was great but sexier as Bizarro than in Clark Kent, especially when he threatens Brainiac « to finish the job. Aah…those eyes, and these lovely teeth !
Meanwhile, Julian tells Lionel that he is, in fact, his dead son Julian. His reaction is really surprising because he fully accepted Julian/ Grant and wants to know him better. It is sweet to see this softer side of Lionel. He looks Julian in the eyes in a very affetionate way. The scene they share together-Lionel holding Grant's head between his head, saying he doesn't care how he came to earth- before Julian/grant is shot, is even cutter and heart breaking when Lionel holds his dead son, again. It was, however, cute to see a father/son relationship without tension, murder, twotime plans and trichery. Too bad, Grand had to pass away.
Michael Cassidy delivered a great performance. Especially during his word fight with Lex.
John glover is excellent too, well, it's no suprise. I think his discovering Lex secret projects would lead to a withdrawal. In the comics, Lex's father is mentionned. Seeing his son following a wrong path, he decided to change his name from Luthor to an anagram. « It's you that I lost, It's you that I lost ». It seems like Lionel has a conscience. John Glover just played very well how much Lionel is outraged. Great performance !
I am sure this detail didn't slipped you out, but the kryptonian super badass A.I is back ! Still, witty, charming, sarcastic and with this little evil sparkle in his eyes.
The play between the colors – very warm in the Kent's farm and blue/grey/black in the streets of Metropolis- stress the disturbing side of Brainiac. Bizarro needs him to destroy Kal-El, still trapped in the fortress. It is the occasion for Brainiac to ask Bizarro for help. He needs to find Dax-Ur, a kryptoniangeek that could « repair » Brainiac. Dax-Ur remained on Earth after his arrival and decided to give up his powers to live his life with his blonde wife and kid. Ready for anything, Brainiac eventually makes himself out to be Lionel when Clark visits him at LuthorCorp. And the genius leads Brainiac straight to Dax-Ur (when he uses the kryptonian key). The Kryptonian A.I finally managed to kill Dax-Ur and regenerates himself.
The last but not the least, Lex Luthor. Isn't it boring to say that Michael is the greatest actor television has ever known and that he is sexy as hell. Cheecky with Lionel « I only did what you never had the guts to do ». And when Lionel told him he is the son he've lost, he lowers his eyes as a little boy.
Even what he did is depraved, how could we blame him for wanting some compagny ?
And that scene with Grant Gabriel ! Wow, word fight. Grant/Julian is quite harsh to him « you're so lonely and pathetic you have to build yourself a brother ». But we all know what he is saying is somehow the truth- « Lex only looks out for Lex ». But Lex strikes back by saying Grant is « grateful son of a bitch ». So sexy…
Grant 1 – Lex 0.
It always bothers me to forgive Lex eveytime he acts bad. He had his brother shot, goddam !!!!!! Four times !!! But, yet, I'm not resentful. I'm not saying he had the right to take Grant's life, but he is not yet this total psycho anthipathic freak : he cries his dead brother.
Terrific episode. Too bad Grant Gabriel has to go away…

confused
It's been one week since I watched this episode and I'm still confused. I don't know how to think about Gemini. Maybe becauseof my freaky Cartesian state of mind ! It wasn't a bad episode but the whole « Julian story » was a bit weird.
My point is how can Grant Gabriel be a clone when he happens to be as old as Lex ? When could Lex start this project ? Lex was about 10 when Julian died. And I guess human clonage includes infancy, childhood, adolescence…That's why this « Julian Luthor » isn't credible. But, hey, we're in Smallville, aren't we ?
Meanwhile , it is Christmas in Smallville and Chloé received an extra special present : a bomb ! A man, named Adrian, claims to be a product of the project « Gemini ». He forced Lois to make Lex admit that he's been working on human cloning. And if she fails, KA-BOOM !!!!!! Snow would not then be the only thing falling in Smallville…
This was the occasion to see some « Chlimmy » (or « Jimolé » as you like). Chloé and Jimmy are my favorite couple of this season. They get along so much together !
Chloé is really a wonderul character in Smallville. Not only the girl is the smartest, she also is he most honest, telling Jimmy she is meteor freak. Yet, the question is would she have been so honest if she wasn't going to die?
Oooh, and the final scene with Chloe and Jimmy was so damn cute ! Look at their faces ! Laughs ! Kinky to the core !
Allison had as usual the greatest wardrobe and the greatest makeup. She did a great job ! Where the hell have you buy this red coat !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm dying to have one !!!!!!!
And please don't forget to visit her offical website to support her new film Alice & Huck.
As far as Lois Lane concerned, I am quite happy Grant Gabriel broke up with her. I am quite resentful for her almost stealing the limelight from Chloé. And I am mad to see she's been hired in the Daily Planet thanks to her lady lumps. Even if M. Gabriel denies this once again in this episode.
I think that, eventhough Grant and Lois belonged together, their relationship isn't meant to be. In the comics, Lois Lane gained her journalist status thanks to her skills : she is witty, independant, versatile, ironical, sometimes harsh. And I don't think Erica Durance, well let's say the writers, pointed out this aspect of Lane's personnality. I do think Lois should remain single until she finds out she is attraced by Clark/Superman.
And, I don't want to be mean but…Gemini was Erica's worst performance ! She was overplaying especially when she threatens her future ex-lover.
And wow, this mustard yellow shirt is aweful !!!!!!!!!! I agree with you Mr, Gabriel ! This shirt is one great reason for breaking up !
Remember this song from the musical Chicago ? « Cellophane, Mister Cellophane, 'cause you can look right trough me, walk right by me, and never know I'm there ». Well, it seems like Lana gains her nickname « Miss Cellophane ». Or « Stepford Wife » to Clark.
What is strange is the more interesting her personae becomes, the poorer are her lines. Yet, Kristin's performance is closer to the comics than Lois's.
You all know that Lana married Pete Ross, who was Lex's vice president (in Superman For All Seasons). Lana then had access to top secret information. And in Gemini, we can make a parallell between Lana's Isis Foundation and this.
Oh-My-God !!!! Michael…There are not enough words to express what I feel right now. You are truly the best thing that ever happened to television. To you I bestow, you are my master…
Well, Michael Rosenbaum did a great job. For having watched all Superman (Supermen ?) movies, I think he is the greatest embodiement of Lex Luthor. And that's obvious in Gemini.
Just look at the scene where he is questionned by Lois and the little smirk that comes after the « Excuse me ». He is witty and charming eventhough he is lying like hell.
And in a glimpse, he becomes this cold-blooded killer. He gave me thrills when he said to Adrian « You're not my brother, you're a mistake ! ». Well, Michael/Lex always give me thrills…
And just after the long lines of Grant Gabriel (Michael Cassidy's greatest performance !), I just felt for him because all he wanted was someone to love but…why doing such things ?
Once again, Smallville gets closer to the comics : Lex bought The Daily Planet and then becomes Lois' boss. Just have a look at Lois's face ! Hi hi hi…Mr Luthor just know how to spoil the fun, doesn't he ?
As far as Clark is concerned, I just don't know, if Bizarro was there until the beginning or by the end when he hugs Lana…Because I don't think Bizarro would have saved Chloé and Jimmy, right ? Yet, I think Bizarro is able to fly so…Tom Welling didn't have so much lines in this episode so I can't tell whether he did (or didn't do) a great job !
I think this epsiode deserves a B +.
Michael R., Allison, Aaron and Michael C. hane to be rewarded for their performance !
xoxo

Ps : Just a word about Michael Cassidy. I am quite disappointed that Michael gave his greatest performance two episode before his character's disappearance (Grant Gabriel is gonna be shot down). That's too bad, because I somehow began to like this character. Anyway, we're in Smallville, aren't we ?

Wouaah ! It's been three days since I watched this episode of Smallville and I'm still in a state of shock ! Would you believe me if I told you I almost choked when the other G.G dropped that bomb.
More on that topic later…
In this episode, Clark experiments an other kind of kryptonite, blue kryptonite. It deprives Clark from his powers. This results from Zor El great manipulative skills. Clark believed his mother, Lara, was crying for help. He then ended in the Forteress of Solitude. Despite his father's advice, Clark breaks the crystal and Lara appears. What was weird is that she didn't recognize Kal-El at once. She thought Clark was her husband Jor El.
The latter tells Clark he should learn acts always have consequences. And the consequence of his breaking the crystal is the release of Zor El.
Not only the guy manipulates her daughter Kara by saying the two are a family, he also heavily punches Lionel believing the MB is still Jor-EL's vessel. Happily, he is rescued by Clark.
Meanwhile Lois and Grant Gabriel are breaking the rule « never shit where you eat ». They are flirting together and are caught red handed by Chloé.
Erica Durance and Michael Cassidy are both cute and their chemistry on screen is obvious. I was longing for Lois asking Grant his her hiring is due to her skills or her being attractive. Eventhough Grant shows Lois an article written by her self, I guess her hiring is a mix of the two.
Just after their romantic escape in Grant's office, Chloe quickly put Lois on her place by saying she can't gain her place as a famous reporter by messing around with her boss. Chloé is definitly right but the way she answers Chloé is quite…I don't know. On the first hand, I feel for Chloe because she has worked hard to join The Daily Planet when Lois was hired just by…I don't even remember…But on the other hand, I don't think she should be so harsh with Lois ! How can't a women be attratced by such a nice playboy ! Come on Chloé !!
Allison Mack's performance was terrific, the best sidekick ever. It's great to have a personae who has a good head on his shoulders. Her makeup and wardrobe are great…
The moment has arrived readers, the moment when I'm saying to myself SV writers can really be brilliant when they want to.
Lex and Grant are playing pool. That is the way Luthor Jr usually gains answers. An iron fist in a velvet glove. The two are taliking about women and one in particularly : Lois Lane. Lex may recognizes the lady is sexy and smart, however he warns Grant he must put an end to this relationship : the girl is way too curious (not to say a muckraker !) and might connect the dots. But what dots : take a deep breath, readers, drink a glass of water…
GRANT & LEX ARE BROTHERS.
I didn't expect that at all, at least I expected theme to be lovers (aaah, this pool table). Or buisness partners. But brothers…Hum… seems like our M.B was a bunny in his younger years !
And that is the reason why Gabriel told lois not to rifle through the Luthors.
Back to the Fortress of Solitude, Clark is deprived of his powers because his mum gave him a ring which was his father's.
I didn't really know why Lara turned out to be so manipulative, knowing his son would lose his powers. I was quite bothered. I know she wanted to protect her son but…what's the point ? Anyway, Zor El made quite a great impresion. I just loved his outfit, Matrix- like. And he is the evidence that Krypton is full of badass. The guy sacrifices his daughter to his evil plans…But…didn't he said they were a family before ?
However, I wasn't impressed at all by Helen slater's performance. If I wasn't spoiled, I wouldn't even notice her ! She is way to calm, way too soft even when she confronts Zor El.
Tom did a great job. He looks gorgeous in this epsiode and especially during the first scenes. His eyes, I love his eyes ! And, I also liked the fact that Clark can be a hero without super speeding and super strenght.
And what happens next ?
Lois and Grant are so over each other, they are still seeing each other.
Kara is lost in Boston. Guess Lex's obsession wouldn't stop now.
And last but not least Grant Gabriel is in fact… Julian Luthor.
Genius, I told you…

Maybe not one of the best episode of Smallville (the Super-Lana stuff is the boring as hell but Lana is surely much more a Wonderwoman than Clark a Superman). Anyway, this episode was very funny !
I was relieved…I've been longing for some horny stuff in Smallville for such a long time ! But, eventhough, we dont't see Lana climaxing or Clark sweating, the whole thing was all tasty.
I mean the last time I was excited (and I mean it litteraly) watching SV is when Luthor Jr and Miss Psycho were almost fucking in an elevator. The the sexiest thing ever…
I guess many of you have been spoiled : Lana accidently received Clark's powers. Just after discovering what super speeding and super hearing felt like, the young damsel decided to do the wild thing with her boyfriend. Good girl. And the thing is they made it so wild and so hard they provoked earthquakes ! It was hilarious. And the scene that followed with Chloe was funny too ! When Clark discovers that Chloé and Lana talked about sex (and him) before.
I wonder why Clark is such a puritan dumbass in SV. I mean, I was wishing that, for once, he would do the first step…But no, he didn't. Guess J.K rubbed off on him too much. I mean in Superman movies, Clark has sex with Lois and they even got married. So why Clark is so coy about sex and other stuff. And why does he always put Lana on such a high pedestal…Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
I'm so glad Lana's behavior was such a huge slap on his face ! And Tom Welling played that greatly. In fact, I didn't know if it was anger or disappointment…Whatever. I think that the end of their relationship is just beginning. Tom did a great job in this episode.
Meanwhile, Lana seems to be more human with Clark powers : she feels sad, she is angry, she wants revenge. Better later than never. I guess she is turning more « luthorian » than I expected. I don't know why is she so over Lex like that (well, I understand her, I'm just soooooooo over Lex. Hum…Michael actually. Remind me of a song by Liz Phair : Everytime I see your face/ I get all *** between my legs…). Lex suggests (during a scene with Clark) her hatred for him is much stronger than her affection for him. Michael was awesome. Lex feels for Lana because they both feel bitter. In fact what Lana feels for Lex is exactly what Lex is feeling for Clark ! Michael did a great job, as usual. His bitterness could hardly be seen on his face, but clearly in his lines.
Wouaah, this pill was hard to swallow for Clark. The truth was quite tough to hear for him and I was wondering if Lex was talking about Lana…Was he talking about Clark and him ? I don't know but a singer once wrote what Lex explains to Clark : First words of hate, last word of love. People you hate the most are people who once loved…
Lois was once again very funny in this episode. Her wardrobe and her make up were great…even in her pyajamas in SV hospital. Her scenes with Gabriel were charming but I agree with Mrs Bradshaw : no one should shit where they eat (which means no one should date a collegue or their boss). Laughs.
I also loved Grant Gabriel. I believed his insisting on Lois not to chase the Luthors was to protect her protegée. But I think he is involved in some dark story and don't wanna Lois to find out. Look at the scenes where he erases files from his computer…
And at last but not least, Chloé was once again awesome ! Her makeup, wardrobe and lines were terrific. I loved her scenes with Kristin. Chloé is quite wise for a young adult. It's good to see such a smart women. And such a good friend. Her promise to protect Clark from Lana-if she ver became a threat- was so an evidence of her affection (not to say love) for Clark.
I almost forgot ! The ultimate bastard from Krypton is back. Remember this black stuff that escaped from the spaceship in season 5. Well, this time this black stuff escaped from a sample of kryptonite. I can't wait to see that.
LJ readers, Wrath deserves a B.

The Great Awakening. This idea could sum up what Smallville is going through : powerful men, powerful words and positive (special) effects. The Great Awakening is also what I felt when I saw Lara : this episode was noted for the growth of my loving Smallville.
Today, I just wanna spread a message of hope for the future : SV may grow better and better.
First of all, we are introduced with Clark's biological mother. Blonde and beautiful, just like herniece, Kara. I was quite disappointed about Helen Slater performance : her lines were rather flat and she was barely present on screen. Her presence reminds me of one of Shakespeare's play : Much a do about nothing.
Anyway, I don't see the purpose of the scene with the plane. I know, you SV guys can do real great special effects but here, it made no sense.
What made sense was Kara won-der-ful red dress : she was stunning. And notice she didn't need her superpowers to turn on this geek who works for Domestic Security…and stole his security access card to find her crystal. But, unfortunetly, it wasn't the for Clark went there before Kara. The crystal contains his mom's DNA.
Tom Welling was good but I…His performance was not as good as the previous. I don 't have much to say about Tom. But I hate how Clark makes Kara feels guilty about usinh her powers publicly when he superpseeds to join Chloé in Daily Planet ! I hate it ! Clark is also such a SOAB. He pretends to protect Kara but stabs her in the back !
Kara then goes to the Luthor Mansion but is made prisonner by this wack domectic security agent. She is weakened by kryptonite made handcops. Lex then arrived but is immediatly neutralized. Kara is taken to Virginia where she is tortured with green kryptonite. Its effect is like a truth serum. Kara is questionned about her coming on Earth and we learned that she was on it long before Clark ! Her aunt, Lara, was pregnant of her cousin ! Kara also discovers the truth abouth her father Zor-El who is not « the God » who Kara thought he was, He was clearly lusting after his brother's wife.
Laura Vandervoort did a great job. She is now comfortable with the role. She is not over playing anymore, remember the « you don't touch my stuff » thing !
Back to Metropolis, Chloe goes to the Isis foundation which helps the meteor-infected (P.C term for krypto-freak). And guess, who is the head of this association ? Lana ! Eventhough she tells Chloé not to tell Clark about her activities, she swears up and down that the aim of this association is to help the MFI… who actually killed her parents ! Yet, she is still keep an eye on Lex via her video surveillance !
Allison was fan-tastic as usual, especially in her scenes with Jimmy. She seems to handle the break-up but when she realizes that Jimmy does too…Boo, i feel so bad for her ! Her wardrobe and make-up were great ! She was just stunning !
Kristin Kreuk was great too even if I just don't know what to think about Lana's behavior. Hum…I don't believe in the « Lana gone bad « because it would screw up his relation with Clark. But if we consider they are not meant to end up together…What annoys me is that we barely see them kissing or being tender to one another…Maybe is Lana afraid of the Kryptonian mojo ?
But Lara is the return of the Lex/Lionel scene. John Glover and Michael Rosenbaum did a great job and I think this is an euphemism. It's been a long time since they shared a scene together. This scene was fabulous because, for the first time, Lex told his father that his behavior was the result of his education…A fact that Lionel cannot deny. Lex is also blaming his father for protecting Clark and considering Clark alsmost like a son rather than his own son. It was so touching, how couldn't we feel for Lex Luthor ? How can people see him the ultimate bad guy. I'm rather thinking like Socrate who said « nul n'est méchant volontairement ».
Well Lara deserves a good 8/10.

English people say the early bird catches the early worm…And what worm ! A worm full of gayness !
Remember those fanfic around the pool table in the mansion, Clark and Lex playing with their cue…
Here is another round ladies, not with Clark, no, but with Grant Gabriel…
Just have a look on this pictures
Lex Luthor's usual interviewing method... playing pool
"I hear there's been a lot of fanfiction written about this pool table."
"Come on, I know I'm 23 playing 30, but I'm the best Daily Planet editor you've got!"
Gayest Look Of The Episode... and it hasn't even aired yet!
I have the sensation they are about to kiss each other *drools*
"Hrm, well I could use you to make Clark jealous..."
"It's not the size of your pool cue, it's how you use it"
*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
"Now get out of my office like a good minion."
Wouaaaaaaaaaaah, so much gayness in those pictures. Well, I guess I'm gonna stick to SV more than ever.
I don't know who undetitles the pictures but congrats', you did a great job ! :)

Yes, my love of Smallville goes like a see saw, growing up, down, all around, like a see saw…Da ba Da ba laaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa !
Action really surprised me ! When I first read the sum-up on KS, i thought : « oh, no, here's another cheesy story starring one of the worst -yet sexy- pop princess of all time… », But I was all wrong. Action is a good episode which underlines Clark Kent's future.
First, Lana realizes she is probably what prevents Clark from bearing his status, to what Clark answers he has everything he needed here in Smallville ! Poor Kid !
Rachel gift's was awesome ! The red cape was a nice allusion to Superman. Yet, Clark doesn't give a damn, he leaves his gift on a fence. That's so nice…
Whatever, the special effect scene when Lana falls off the building and Clarks catches her was quite cheap. Lana is not even screaming. Weird, isn't it ? I mean, I fell out of my bed yesterday, and I screamed. Laughs. And what about no flight, no tights ? I didn't know that Clark knew how to fly ! Yet, he did ! And it's not the first time, remember Crimson ! And how could he fall faster than Lana ? If we based our statement on physics, that is impossible.
Smallville turned as Hollywwod for the making of a movie based on the comic Warrior Angel. And the main set is located in the Kent's farm. A young starlet, Rachel Davenport, is shooting a scene where she enters a car, drives away. But she can't brake because the car was sabotaged. To her great luck, Superman, excuse me, Clark Kent, was here to save her. And finds himself in the limelight again. He won the first page of the Smallville Ledger.
Thanks to his new stardom, Clark is invited to meet Rachel & managed to give Chloé the chance to interview her and his warmly congratulated by his girlfriend, Lana.
Meanwhile, Lois is dealing with a story about Luthorcorp and a land that is supposed to be Lex's where there is nothing but a cabin. But her boyfriend boss's statement is clear « you need proof to write a story » : Lois has to give this story. And well, would Lois Lane be Lois Lane without such stubornness ? Of course, not ! She won't give up.
Lionel is alive, Well, he looks rather like a dead personn. But he is alive. A woman, Marylin, is watching over him. She is not exactly the nurse men tend to be fond of because Lionel has a good suprise when he tries to get up : his hand is stuck is a Saw movie like trap. Marylin then phoned to say that Lionel is awake (hope you all know who she phones too, pretty obvious !).
Meanwhile, Clark is helping Rachel rehearsing her scenes. Rachel tries to kiss him (it's in the script, of course !) but Lana arrives in time to tell Clark Warrior Angels fans are not pleased with the fact Warrior Angel's GF is alive in the film.
I don't know if you remember SV first season (Who does ?) but Lex appeared as being a great fan of WA. I just love the bookshelf where Lex keeps all his comics ! Awesome ! And the way he tells Clark about Warrior Angel and Devillicus, Thrilling !
I may sound like a perrot but, once agin, Michael Rosenbaum did an incredible job ! Oh, Michael, I guess you don't dsappoint for long, It seems like Lex knew Clark was above mankind. Just look at his face when he says « When your destiny is to save mankind, you're destined to be alone », Oh, Michael, Michael, Michael, to you I bestow Michael.
And look at Tom Welling ! The look upon his face ! The parallel between WA and him just strikes him. And Tom Welling did a great job.
Clark then goes on the set of the movie and, using his X ray vision, saves Rachel from a bullet…but is caught red handed by the stalker !
Back to Lois Lane. Did I mention how much I love Erica Durance ! She is hot in this secretary like uniform ! And the glasses…She managed to enter Luthorcorp to fing evidence on Lex's criminal activities…but she is caught red handed as well. I guess it is the first time since the episode Lucy that Erica and Michael have a scene together. Well, Lex denies having purchased any land and the signature on the sheet of paper is not Lex's. Well, Lois just can't be the head of this case, nor Lionel because he is missing…And Lex denies his involvment. So who could be the other LL ? Difficult question , ha ha !
Lionel painfully tries to free himself and knocks Marilyn out. But he is quickly stopped by his former daughter-in-law who knocks him back !
I don't know what the writers are doing with Lana but it is a bit confusing. Why truning so dark ? Why lying to Clark when she was shouting from the rooftops she wanted the truth ?
Eventhough Kristin Kreuk did a great job in this episode, I don't think this sudden change of colors benefit the character and Lana's motives remain vague.
Lex manages to find his father in the cabin. This leads to one of the most violent scene of the episode, Lionel beats Marylin to death. I was quite uneasy facing the rage on his face. She was already unconscious, why beating her this way ? And why didn't Lex stop his father instead of being so passive ? Well, thinking about Marylin's face give me thrills.
Anyway, John Glover did a great job as usual. Espacially his scenes with Lana. Eventhough Lana denies her involvment in his emprisonment, Lionel warns her. And, I don't even think he threatens her. He remains warm, calm, I didn't really understand when he tells her to leave Clark before it's too late. I guess it will be explain later in the season.
To finish, Gabriel Grant finally makes his move towards Lois. But She declines. He is not pleased when he sees that Lois is focused ont he Luthors and advices her to stay away.
In Belle Reeve, Lex visits Ben to give him his most precious Warrior Angel comics. And because a Luthor always has a thing in the back of his head, Lex wants Ben to tell him about « the man with super powers ». But Ben keeps Clark's secret.
Cues to remember…
Ben : « I'm sorry, Lana. But there's a hero living among us. And there's only one way he'll accept his calling. You need to die. »
[Lana and Lionel scene in the barn]
Lana « Lionel, I heard what happened. Are you ok ? »
Lionel « It's hardly reassuring to read your own obituary. But you should know that, I suppose, shouldn't you ? »
Lana « They said you were being held captive by a crazy woman. »
Lionel (giggles) « Indeed, I was, You.»
Lana « I would never be involved in something like that.»
Lionel « Oh, please. That line stopped working for you the day you faked your own death. »
Lionel « You may have lost the Luthor name, but it’s the Luthor instincts that keep those claws of yours sharp. »

I'm cured, yes, I'm cured. Cured from the dullness that eventually damaged a part of my brain.
Thanks a lot Mr. Cain.
Cure is a very interesting episode. First because Doctor Knox reminds me of a famous D.C Comics villains, Vandal Savage. Knox proclaims himself to be Napoleon (!) and the The Reaper itself :
Chloe – « I came here for help, not to be cut open by some Jack The Reaper »
Knox - « I was Jack The Reaper ».
Savage claimed himself to be some of the greatest figures of history such as Vlad the Impaler, Alexander The Great…Because you have to know that Dr Know is immortal, for Lex founds a watch dating from the 20's !
So let's talk about Cain : I think his performance was terrific and I weight my words, It is a puff of air. He was completely aware of the history of his personae and as he said on his interview on Zap To It « He [Doctor Knox] is evil with a smile ». His chemistry with Michael Rosenbaum was obvious. I'm so happy that Lex is turning devious again. Even if his purpose was not to kill the meteorite infected (a P.C term for krypto-freaks), and that he warns Knox not to do this again, we are able to think that we soon are going to heard of 33,1 again !
I am so happy to see my Lex going back ! Micheal, sweetheart, you deed a great job ! I cant' breathe ! I love hearing Lex talking about history facts, and being cynical and funny in the same time. He also looks hot in his grey shirt and his black clothes. Please someone brings a drooling tub !
Well, even if Knox acted evil throughout the episode by killing Sasha Woodman and kidnapping Chloe, i felt for him when he accidently killed his beloved Sophia. In fact, is what you do really evil when it is to save the beloved one, That's the tearing question about Good and Evil. Is that what seems evil is really evil ?
And this poor Chloe…Funny how she founds herself in Clark's position. Torn between telling Jimmy she is a krypto-freak and hiding it from him…And the letter in the garbage, and the breakup…Too Bad ! Allison, once again, did a great job ! I am just glad that Allison is the only character which kept her line throughout Smallville. Congratulation, Miss Mack !
And I'm bothered to see Kara as a krypto bitch. Doesn't she know she musn't date a man who already has a girlfriend ! Salty bitch !
And it was weird to see clark next to Lex…Were'nt the two supposed to be enemies ?
And Lana, this lady kicks ass…I kept telling to anyone that she was stuck in the « personae of the poor little orphan princess », but now…She stole $10 billion to Lex to keep an eye on him…and lies to clark about it. I am glad for Kristin, Kristin Kreuk, at least, is playing a character that is more that the typical « girl next door ». She did a great job in this episode. It's a relief, really, I love Miss Kreuk a lot but I loathe her character, at least until this episode.
Lana, in deed, stole money from Lex and apprently had a huge surveillance system build. But she says the money was given to her for the divorce settlement.
The roles are now reversed : Lex seems to be trustful and Lana isn't. Thrilling !
I forgot to tell you about Kara and Clark. I think Clark is way too protective towards Kara. Here is a thing I don't understand : Why can't Kara use her powers in front of people when Clark goes for syrup in super speed ? Don't they have the same chance of being caught red-handed ? That's pretty odd and I think Laura Vandervoot just plays her disgust very well. And Jon'z Jonzz and her apparently don't get along for she is attacked by Martian Manhunter. He believes that Kara is a foe and that her father Zeor-El , a traitor, because he tried to kill Clark's father. And Clark later doesn't even trust his own cousin ! Disgusting ! I fear that he might push her in the arms of Lex by acting this way, If she cannot even find trust in relief in her own familly, she would certainly turn more and more bitter and full of hate and who knows how it's gonna end…
Great episode
8/10.
